About April Atelier

Who We Are

April Atelier was founded by Stephanie Six, a designer, art director, and illustrator with nearly two decades of experience in children’s television and picture books. After years of creative work in TV, Steph was ready for a new adventure. Hosting craft parties with her son, Henry, and his friends became a beloved way to spend quality time together. Dissatisfied with the craft kits available for the younger set, Steph decided to design her own projects.

Named after both her and Henry's shared birthday month, April Atelier was born from a passion for creativity and love of making beautiful memories together.

Why Crafting

April Atelier offers a meaningful bonding experience for children and their grownups, fostering growth through open-ended, imaginative projects. Studies have show that crafting boosts creativity, flexibility, and problem-solving for kids of all ages.

More than just a craft box, it's a lifestyle that encourages mindful, empowering creativity. The treasures your family creates will be cherished—whether displayed or gifted.

What Makes Us Different

You won’t find our materials in big-box stores. We source our unique, high-quality supplies from artisans, crafters, and top-tier vendors. Part of the joy of crafting is working with vibrant paints, luxurious velvet ribbons, and funky stickers.

Our crafts are more than creative outlets—the April Atelier experience creates meaningful, lasting treasures that families will cherish and proudly display.

Sustainability

April Atelier reduces waste by creating crafts meant to be kept and cherished. We prioritize eco-friendly, natural materials and support local artisans. By sourcing sustainably, we not only protect the environment but also help sustain the creative arts in our communities. With each project, you're fostering creativity while making mindful, impactful choices for a better future.
